The Hinode Kiln's Ryuso Kairagi Miraculous Pottery Series

A pottery series created by pottery artist Masao Iwasaki! Food is made even more beautiful on this intricate stage! A graceful white and a powerful cracked glaze known as kairagi (a fractured pattern) cumulates in a beautiful landscape. The creation of a red handmade fractured pattern is rare for most kilns, and this impactful and unique pattern that appears on the plates is something not reproduced by other kilns is something that makes it characteristic, and is seen as a hidden gem among Japanese crafts.
